One of the most popular time travel series is DangerBoy, created by Mark London Williams. According to Williams, who is also by profession, a journalist, he takes inspiration from his children. A series geared towards young adults, it follows the story of a 12-year old Eli Sands who lives in the distant year of 2019. Along with him are his trusty companions Thea and Clyne. Thea is the last librarian of the city of Alexandria and Clyne is a dinosaur-like alien from a nearby planet taking information for his school assignment.

Danger Boy was planned to compose of 7 books and 4 of them have already been published. The first book, entitled Angel Fire was published in 2001 and was critically acclaimed, winning the category in Excellence in Children's Science Fiction from the Golden Duck Awards as well as the Hal Clement Award. The other books in the series are Dragon Sword in 2001, Trail of Bones in 2005, and the last published one is City of Ruins in 2007. The latest project will be entitled Fortune's Fool but there are no release dates as yet. Each book from the series offers unique and interesting plots and twists that lead the trio in tampering with time to save the world or fix a glitch of discover new things.
